Elyon Roster Achievments

We started Elyon as a small group of friends of around 10 people, and then recruited up to a full guildsize of 50 people. Our guild name in Elyon was Copium but we decided to re-brand.

Early days

We started out with around 30 people when the game released, a lot of who has extensive previous Korean Elyon experience, since we take preparation for new games seriously.
Having this experience helped us to get a head during the start of the game and teach the new people the ins and out of the game. Our roster consisted of 80% of the Top 100 gearscore.
It also help’d us to reach Rank 1 in all the PvE dungeons on release weeks
And we were rank 1 Overall (both factions included) in Guild PvP

Faction wars

  • Elyon introduced faction wars from the start. this however was pretty fast a large grindfest for our faction since the 2 best guilds us & Codex was both playing the same faction. so the faction wars was very 1 sided for a long while. Eventually the guilds spread out between the 3 faction maps in order to earn more points from each war. and with time Kakao decided to remove the faction wars from the game.

Guild pvp

  • In Elyon most teams only ran 1 Guild PVP Team to optimize their chances. however we decided to run multiple teams in order to give more players the option to play the game. This however also meant that others came closer to us in the PVP standings, and over the first many months we kept swapping the Rank 1 overall between us and CODEX, eventually CODEX quit and would be a little vacuum in the competitiveness of the other clans decided to merge up.

Fading away

  • The game was good for a couple of months but it lacked population as the game was branded P2W before it even came out by various clueless content creators. which had a negative impact on the game in general. Kakao didn’t exactly help this problem by having almost no advertisement at all
Other issues was there was very little catch up mechanics for new players, they would just be molded down by the old geared players. so the game had almost no new players coming to the game after release.
We decided to call it quit as a guild after around 6 months when most other guilds had quit. More than half the players decided to keep playing and formed another guild which performed great taking our old roster as a core. They kept playing for a longer period of time and eventually quit.
